Christopher J. King, president of the Washakie County Bar Association presents the annual Bar Association scholarship to Abigail Carver. Abigail Carver was selected as this year's recipient after submitting the required application and an essay detailing her interest in pursuing a legal education. The scholarship is presented annually and is funded solely by the donations of Washakie County attorneys. According to a release from the WCBA,l Carver intends to matriculate at the University of Wyoming in the fall of 2015 and became interested in the legal profession after attending the 2014 Wyoming American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program at Northwest College in Powell, where she experienced the legal profession by interacting with local attorneys and judges.
