Dr. Neil Treece now practicing in Worland

WORLAND – Dr. Neil Treece has partnered with Dr. John Thurston at Thurston Medical Clinic, 401 S. 15th Street in Worland, to better meet the community's needs in the urgent care sector.

"Dr. Treece will be assisting in filling the urgent care need, broken bones, sore throats, concussions, lacerations etc. for both pediatrics and adults in the community," Worland Dr. John Thurston said.

Treece comes from Tennessee where he practiced in general pediatrics for 16-plus years as a board certified pediatrician. His dream was to move to Wyoming and finally Aug. 1 he was able to achieve that dream. "I spent all my vacation time out here (Wyoming), fishing and hunting and I got to where I would count the days until I could get back out here. I've met a lot of good people, down to earth people, my kind of people." Treece said. "I've been contemplating this move for a long time and actively researching for a few years now to find where I would fit the best," he added.

Treece feels that he fits best working with Thurston. "John Thurston practices the kind of medicine that I like, that's hard to find anymore. My goal is to build the kind of practice that I've always wanted to have, that's basically what Dr. Thurston does," Treece stated. "In the town that I was in (in Tennessee), there were so many specialists, you ended up just being a gatekeeper, referring everything. It made it hard to do everything I want to do here back there," he added.

Treece's main goal is to make urgent care in the area much quicker for the community. "If someone calls in with say a sinus infection, I want them to be able to be seen that day, be that someone an adult or child," Treece said.

"I'm ready to look forward to everyday and enjoying my practice. The joy that comes from being able to make a difference by helping people out, that's why I became a doctor," Treece said.
