CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Highway Patrol has investigated 52 crashes statewide since 00:01 on Nov. 25 through 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving (Nov. 26th).

Seventeen crashes were classified as involving injury, 33 crashes have been classified as property damage only and two crashes were listed as hit and run with property damage only. Zero fatal crashes have been investigated.

During the same time period, the Wyoming Highway Patrol Dispatch Center has fielded 737 calls for service including WHP Troopers assisting 107 stranded or broken down motorists.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation has been also staying busy keeping roadways open and keeping traffic flowing with minimal road closures throughout the state.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol reminds travelers to check road conditions before you travel this holiday. Buckle up, slow down, increase your following distances and most of all ask yourself if you really need to be on the roads during adverse weather conditions. You can always check current road conditions at http://www.wyoroad.info.
