WORLAND – Husband and wife, Jeff and Terrie Yule opened their firearms store, "PrescribeD Firearms" on 944 Big Horn Avenue in Worland, Feb. 1.

The firearms store carries a variety of items for the gun enthusiast from guns to safety gear. "We carry handguns, tactical rifles, knives, gun safes, safety gear, hearing protection and eye protection," PrescribeD Firearms owner Jeff Yule said.

"We are geared toward tactical, toward hand guns, accessories and suppressors, that part of the business, it's called a class 3 dealer," Yule said. "Only class 3 dealer in a 90 mile radius," PrescribeD Firearms manager Guy Agee added.

Suppressors are basically silencers for your gun and are legal to hunt with in Wyoming. "A suppressor suppresses the sound, but not like in the movies," Yule said. "It makes it safe to shoot without hearing protection," Agee added.

If you are interested in building your own rifle you can find the parts at PrescribeD Firearms. "We sell the parts so that someone can build their own rifles," Yule and Agee said.

They also sell ammunition and gun cleaning supplies. ".22 ammo is still difficult to get, most of the other ammo we can get pretty regular, .22 is still few and far between," Yule said.

The firearm store also has a variety of signs and lamps for sale. "We also sell the cedar lamps that my father-in-law, Ron Voss makes," Yule said.

PrescribeD Firearms is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and is closed on Sundays. A grand opening will be occurring soon. "We will be having a grand opening later this spring when the weather is nice and we can do something outside," Yule said.
