Arnold Schwarzenegger stops and shakes hands with Worland Police Chief Gabe Elliott and Worland Fire Captain Brandon Yule at Worland Municipal Airport Wednesday afternoon.

WORLAND – Two term former governor of California and Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger flew into the Worland Municipal Airport on Wednesday.

Airport Manager Lynn Murdoch said Schwarzenegger's private jet pulled into the Worland Municipal Airport at 10:32 a.m. and he boarded around 2 p.m. before leaving Worland at 2:06 p.m.

The actor went shopping at Merlin's Hide Out in Thermopolis and purchased a custom-made buffalo fur coat, and in a Facebook post by Merlin's Hide Out, they said Schwarzenegger said he loved it.

Several airport employees noted he deplaned in the morning with one dog, but returned with two.

About a half dozen Worland residents came out to the airport after word of landing got out on social media, hoping to get an autograph or a photo with the actor, but to no avail.

However, Schwarzenegger did stop for photos with Worland Police Chief Gabe Elliott and Worland Fire Captain Brandon Yule before boarding.

Merlin's Hide Out could not be reached for comment by press time.
