WORLAND- The Worland Middle School Braves track team wrapped up their season with the conference meet held at Worland High School on Saturday.

The sixth-grade boys team took first place in the conference while the seventh-grade boys and girls and eighth-grade boys took third. The eighth-grade girls placed fourth in the conference.

Coach Rob Woffinden said of his team, "All the middle school athletes showed commitment and enthusiasm for their individual activities and many of them stepped up at conference by achieving their personal record. I was excited and proud to see them finish so well in the conference and look forward to seeing them in the upcoming years."

Sixth-graders Taylor Pierce (100m, 400m, Long jump ), Aaron Carver (100m hurdles), Garrett Cole (pole vault), Aaliyah Measles (long jump), Elioniah Olson (high jump) and Maren Cottrell (discus) took first place in their respective events.

Seventh-grade standouts were Kevin Ambercrombie, second in the 200m hurdles, Cole Harmon, first in the high jump, Mckenna Mickelson, second in the 100m, long jump, triple jump and Carmyn Buckman first in shot and discus.

Eighth-graders Kate Wassum was first in the 100m and 200m, Luke Mortimer first in the 200m hurdles high jump and second in the 100m hurdles, Talon Anderson second in the 200m hurdles and Tatum Zimmerman second in the long jump.
