Nowoodstock, held each August in Ten Sleep, attracts musicians and fans from across the United States.RT Communications will live stream the 2016 event.

TEN SLEEP – Music fans from around the world will be able to watch the 16th annual Nowoodstock music festival, live from Ten Sleep, as RT Communications is teaming up with the event to live stream directly to the Internet this August.

"We've been working with Beck Dooley (vice president of RT Communications) and in addition to live online access to the show, there will be free broadband wifi at the festival this year," reported Nowoodstock promoter Pat O'Brien.

Since its humble beginning as a weekend jam session for local musicians in 1999, Nowoodstock has grown into a three-day multi-layered even in Ten Sleep, with thousands of visitors and famous for having hosted a variety of musical acts and vendors.

This year, the musical lineup includes Grammy-nominated blues group Blinddog Smokin', bluegrass band Low Water String Band, singer and Dixie Chicks songwriter Susan Gibson, Sheridan country fusion band Two Tracks, and perennial favorite and Ten Sleep native Jalan Crossland, who traditionally closes the event on Sunday evening.

In an attempt to bring even local audiences to the show, despite the digital age, O'Brien is working to bus in residents from local senior living homes for Sunday, free of charge. "It's outreach to a group of people that usually won't be able to get out and enjoy something like this," noted O'Brien. Under the plan, guests from homes and facilities in Thermopolis, Powell and Worland will have the opportunity to enjoy a free show, free cold water and plenty of shade.

"Last year, we had people running over to help push wheelchairs and escort the older folks to a good view of the stage," noted O'Brien. "It really captures the spirit of Nowoodstock to see everyone helping each other have a good time."

Nowoodstock 2016 will be held August 12-14, at Vista Park in Ten Sleep. For more information, visit http://www.nowoodstock.com.
