Donald E. Wagner

Donald Eugene Wagner of Worland passed away on July 2, 2016 at Advance Care Hospital of Montana in Billings, Montana at age 73.

Don was born on December 21, 1942 in Wheatland, Wyoming, a son of Esther (Lauck) and Cecil S. Wagner. As a small boy he moved to Worland where his family was engaged in farming. Don attended schools in Worland and graduated with the Class of 1962.

He farmed 80 acres with his father for a short time before being inducted into the U. S. Army. After his discharge from the army he went to California to work for the Burroughs Corp. in Pasadena. While in California he met his wife, Donna M. Woodward, and they were married in 1969.

The couple moved back to Worland in 1972 to farm with his stepdad, Elmer Nelson. Don then went on to farm Elmer Eckhardt's farm in 1979, forming his own operation called 6 D's Enterprises.

He was a life member of the Worland Elks Lodge #1908, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by his sister Sharon Lapp, and by his stepdad.

Don is survived by his wife Donna of Worland; by his children Debbie Scarpelli, Danielle Largent, Darla Wagner, and Darren Wagner; and by eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Larry (Rita) Wagner and Ken (DeeDee) Wagner, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 18th at 11:00AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Worland. A lunch will follow the service.
