Brian Hensien and Jason Scott of Low Water String Band pick out a bluegrass number as the sun starts setting at Nowoodstock.

TEN SLEEP – Nowoodstock, the annual music festival held every August in Ten Sleep, celebrated 16 years last weekend, with a large crowd of music lovers from around the world congregating in Ten Sleep's town park.

Featuring nine individual acts from around the United States and Wyoming, Nowoodstock hosted three full days of music, with craft and food vendors and activities for visiting children.

The event, originally a jam session for local musicians, was broadcast live for the first time over the internet by RT Communications. The full videos are available for viewing (over 30 hours) on the Nowoodstock YouTube page.

Event organizer Pat O'Brien estimated 2,500 people attended the three-day festival, with the majority staying in Ten Sleep and using local services.

He said Nowoodstock 2017 will feature Blind Dog Smokin', The Jackson Six jazz band, the Chanman Roots Band form Jackson Hole, and Ten Sleep native and Nowoodstock standard Jalan Crossland.
