Middle school million word readers honored

WORLAND — Worland Middle School had 41 students ready more than a million words during the first semester of the school year, Principal Ryan Clark announced at Monday’s Washakie County School District No. 1 Board meeting.

Clark said reading is a focus at the middle school and the students increased the amount read from the first nine weeks to the second nine weeks.

Clint Jeffries, who read more than 80 books, was the highest reader, reading 4,272,517 words.
