CODY (AP) — Thirteen Cody School District teachers have chosen to take early retirement packages as the district struggles with budget issues.

The Cody Enterprise reports that in addition to the 13 retirements, a few other staff members resigned, leading to 15-plus open positions. Superintendent Ray Schulte says 12 certified positions will be eliminated.
