Weather Service spotter training Thursday

WORLAND — The National Weather Service in Riverton will teach a Severe Weather Spotter training class to increase the number of weather spotters in Washakie County and surrounding areas. The free, two-hour training class will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in the Washakie County Emergency Operations Center located at 501 15 Mile Road, at the Washakie County Fairgrounds.

The course describes how various severe weather phenomena develop, outlines appropriate safety actions, and details procedures for identifying and reporting severe weather to the NWS. Videos and digital ima...
