WHS Key Club sponsors run for diapers

April 14, 2017

WORLAND – The Worland High School Key Club is holding their fourth annual Bunny Dash Fun Run at 9 a.m. Saturday to benefit the Worland Elks Community Diaper Bank.

“We will be having a 5K fun run/walk to benefit the diaper bank this Saturday. The registration fee is a package of diapers or wipes, plus we will be taking monetary donations for the diaper bank as well,” Worland High School Key Club advisor Pam Greek said. Interested participants can register at Warrior Stadium next to the high school before 9 a.m., she added.

Prizes will be given for first, second and third place.

The diaper bank has been in operation since 2014 and helps many families in the community. “The diaper bank helps supplement families when money is short but we are not there as the sole provider for them. Most people come to the diaper bank once in a while, when they cannot afford to purchase diapers on their own,” Worland Elks Community Diaper Bank Director Ladonna LaCroix said. “We have at least 70 families with over 90 children who come to the diaper bank,” she added.
