WORLAND - Thirty-five years ago Jo Deveraux sat behind the receptionist desk at Admiral Beverage, answering nine different telephone lines and taking down messages on an 8 ½ by 11 pad. Today she is living the retirement dream, having answered her last official call on Friday, June 30.
