Local law enforcement commemorates 9/11

WORLAND – To honor those who died during the 9/11 terror attacks, the Washakie County Sheriff’s Office and the Worland Police Department are having a memorial service on their police radios.

“It’s important that we do that because we need to remember what happened to those souls there in New York when they lost their lives and the people who continue to give up and sacrifice things for the fight against terrorism. We are going to do that at 09:59, that’s when the first tower fell so that’s when we are going to start,” Washakie County Sheriff Steve Rakness said.
