Pinnacle Bank's 33rd annual Festival of Trees this weekend

WORLAND – Friday and Saturday, Pinnacle Bank will be hosting their 33rd annual Festival of Trees, which will be open to the public. With 23 decorated trees this year, along with multiple miscellaneous items and wreaths, people will be able to attend the annual festival and vote and bid for their favorite trees and decorations.

Doors open Friday morning at 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. for decorators. At 5 p.m. doors open to the public, so the decorated trees and wreaths and other items can be viewed for the auction beginning at 6 p.m. Those who purchase items will be helping one of the very many worthwhile charities or nonprofit organizations in the community who are in need of help.

According to festival coordinators Anna Bradshaw, Linda Keyes and Jann Ball, refreshments will be served Friday night. Saturday, the Eagles club will be serving food as well.

The festival continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entertainment will start on Saturday at 9:15 with Ty Miller. Other entertainment includes Cain Torrez at 9:30, Julie Edholm at 10, Courtney Segetti dance ensemble at 10:30, PSALM choir at 11, Chad Rose with the Worland High School choir students at 11:30 and Willie and Amy Wright at 12:30.

Those signed up for tree decorating include the Worland-Ten Sleep Chamber of Commerce, WY BBQ & Bluegrass, 307 Twisters, Mrs. Zimmer’s class, Worland Woodturners, Gorgeous Gals, West Side School, Western Sage, Big Horn Enterprises, Worland Girl Scouts, Big Horn Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Worland Elks, Wyoming Boys’ School, Hake Realty, Worland Senior Center, Pinnacle Bank, Worland Youth Learning Center, Eagle Riders, NAPA Auto Supply, OWL Unlimited, Pepsi, Washakie County Reading Council and Old True Value.

Since 1999, there has been $485,000 of donations counted for. Last year, $25,800 was raised for the various community charities and nonprofit organizations. Currently there are 39 letters for requests of donations.

Festival coordinators Keyes, Ball and Bradshaw would also like to honor auctioneer Vern Lofink, who has been doing the auction since the beginning.
