Washakie County explores downtown location for library

WORLAND — The Washakie County Library may be moving downtown if financing and plans work out.

Washakie County is in negotiations with Lee and Gerry Kennedy to purchase property for a new location for the Washakie County Library.

The county is not considering purchasing the Kennedy’s business, Ace Hardware, but rather the building at 801 Big Horn Avenue.
