Collins quadruplets born at 31 weeks

October 3, 2019

TEN SLEEP – Ten Sleep residents Levi and Savanah Collins welcomed three girls and a boy on Sept. 21, at 31 weeks via C-section in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Savanah is doing well and all four babies are in the neonatal intensive-care unit (NICU) but are reported to be doing well.

“[The] babies decided they needed to make their appearance this morning at exactly 31 weeks today! All 4 babies are doing great and are getting some rest in the NICU. I’m in my room recovering from a C-section that went very well with no complications thankfully! Please keep sending prayers our way that these babies will continue to do well and grow as they are supposed to and that is as family and their doctors and nurses can give them the care they need to continue to thrive! Thank you for your love, thoughts, prayers and continued support through this journey.” Savanah reported to the Ten Sleep School which posted the comment on their Facebook page.

Levi Collins stated that the quadruplet’s two older brothers, Krew and Kace, are pretty excited to have three new sisters and a new brother. He said that Krew, who is 2, has held each new siblings hand in the incubator and is super excited.

The first baby girl, Jayde Kebra, was born at 5:44 a.m. weighed 3 pounds 3.2 ounces and measured 15 inches. The second baby girl, Landry Gail, was born at 5:45 a.m. weighed 2 pounds 11.7 ounces and measured 15 inches. The third baby girl, Swaysie Ida, was born at 5:45 a.m. weighed 2 pounds 11 ounces and measured 15 inches. The baby boy, Kage David, was born at 5:47 a.m. weighed 2 pounds 10.7 ounces and measured 15.5 inches.

The babies will be able to come home as soon as they can do three things:

— Maintain their oxygen level without assistance.

— Maintain their body temperature without assistance.

— No issues with feedings.

Levi Collins stated that at this time the babies are doing very well with their feeding but still need assistance with their oxygen levels and body temperature. He said the doctor told them that it is expected that the babies will be in the hospital until their expected due date but they could go home later or earlier depending on the ability to do the above three things.
