Commissioners approve final plat for Red Vista Village

November 18, 2021

WORLAND – The Washakie County Commissioners unanimously approved the final plat for the Red Vista Village subdivision during the regular meeting Tuesday, Nov. 16.

According to Washakie County Planner David Anderson, Red Vista Village is a 19-lot subdivision located one mile west of Ten Sleep in lot two of Monkey Face Subdivision. There are lots from 2,100 to 2,200 square feet and the subdivision is served by a central water and sewer system.

Cole and Carol Smith of Red Vista Village had submitted a final plat and a development agreement for review by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Commission reviewed the plat Monday night and recommended it for approval by the commissioners.

The commissioners also approved the development agreement, which is an agreement between the Smiths, and the county that provides financial security and authority which the county can use to finish constructing any public improvements that the subdivider fails to install. In this case, the Smiths are planning to drill a new well for the subdivision, so the security provides enough money to cover the cost in doing so.

With the approval of the final plat and development agreement by the Commissioners the plat will now be filed at the Clerk’s Office and the Smiths can begin to sell lots.
