Rather than letting his giant pumpkins rot away, Jay Richard sent a pair of them off with spectacular explosions in a field near Jay's Detail on Nov. 3 to celebrate his son Jackson's 18th birthday and ending this year's giant pumpkin season.. Here, Jackson uses a rifle to shoot 24 pounds of Tannerite, turning the 1,784 pound pumpkin carved by Ryan Green into an orange cloud in an instant.
