Carolyn 'Billie' (Case) Johnson

January 26, 2016

Our beautiful, very loved mother, Carolyn 'Billie' (Case) Johnson has passed at age 84; January 25, 2016 in Worland, WY.

A lifelong resident of Worland, Billie was born on November 29, 1931. She spent many years as owner of the Quick Lunch Café. It was a successful business where she made many friends. Her restaurant was open at 5:00 AM and often her customers were waiting for the doors to open. She'd say, 'come on in and get the coffee started'. She had many daily customers and when in need she was always there to give someone a coat or pair of shoes if theirs were just too worn for the cold. Hitch-hikers would stop in and ask if they could work for a meal. She'd give them an hour's worth of work, a meal and a sandwich to go. Later she went to work at Crown Cork and Seal and performed several tasks there over a 10 year period.

She loved to travel, ride motorbikes, camp and see the United States, of which she saw all 50 states. She bravely took her children to Disney Land, Seattle Space Needle, Disney World and the World's Fair in Spokane Washington. She left the country once to take a cruise from Portugal to Venice, stopping at Gibraltar, Spain, and Sicily.

The 10th child of Frank Leslie Case and Mary Lezetta (Holden) Case. Billie is survived by one brother, Thurle Case and her 7 children: Ronald (Joan) Johnson, Linda (Don) Andersen, Jack Johnson, Kenneth (Doris) Johnson, Douglas (Debbie) Johnson, Karen (Dan) Ernest, and Donna (Peter) Hasselmo. She has 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by siblings: Leonard Case, Pauline Hansen, Hazel Husted, Dorothy Duey, Donald Case, Leslie Case, Thelma Geihm and Jack Case.

Billie requested cremation and that her ashes be scattered in the Big Horn Mountains that she loved so much. A memorial will be held in the spring. Donations may be made in her honor to the New Hope Humane Society in care of Bryant Funeral Home, PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401.
