The chapter feels each member and the entire chapter have benefitted from the process itself and the lessons they’ve learned.

Chapter Development - Buffalo Bill FFA (Cody), Clay Pigeon Shoot

This unique fundraiser is open to chapter members and the public. Eighty marksmen rotated through 20 stations shooting clay targets in all directions. The chapter sold slots to teams and sponsorships of shooting stations to area business. In all, the Buffalo Bill raised more than $6,000 for their chapter and shared a day of fun with their local community.

Community Development - Pinedale FFA, International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race Service Project. Each year, sled dog racing comes to 10 communities in Western Wyoming, including Pinedale. The Pinedale FFA chapter provides manpower for the event, including assisting with the Musher banquet, setting up the starting line and serving as dog handlers at the stage start. Members also help remove signs and clean up after the race had moved on to another community.

Wyoming FFA #1 Chapter - Casper FFA (Natrona County High School)

In 2015, Casper FFA placed new emphasis on helping its members develop quality supervised agriculture experiences. Students met with their advisors on their SAE and used online software weekly to keep track of management and financial information on their projects. Based on these goals and new procedures, every FFA member has an SAE and supporting records. Also, 50 percent of eligible students completed and received the State FFA Degree, and 30 percent of juniors and 40 percent of seniors completed proficiency applications.

Casper FFA reached out to their community through elementary schools across Natrona County. Members taught younger students about science, leadership and agriculture and served as mentors. Forty-six Casper FFA members assisted with the Natrona County Ag in the Classroom event to advocate for their industry. The Casper FFA has 150 members, and is led by advisor Brock Burch.
