Washakie County law enforcement stepping up traffic enforcement during the Sturgis Rally

WORLAND — Washakie County Law Enforcement will be out in force during the busy travel week of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

As part of a statewide enforcement campaign during the Rally, the Worland Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, and the Washakie County Sheriff’s Office will be stepping up traffic enforcement from Aug. 4-13, according to a WHP press release.

“With the conclusion of the county fair and the increased traffic on (U.S.) Highway 16, to and from the Rally, it makes sense to increase traffic enforcement,” said Washakie County Sheriff Steve Rakness.
