The Potter Butte fire south of Worland burned approximately 900 acres Thursday night and Friday. Full containment was expected Friday night.
UPDATE: The 2,448 acre Potter Butte Fire south of Worland is now 100% contained, per the BLM at noon Saturday. The change in acreage is due to more accurate mapping. It burned on BLM, state and private lands.
According to Bureau of Land Management Bighorn/Wind River District spokesperson Sarah Beckwith, the fire is located south of Zimmerman Butte near Potter Butte about 19 miles south of Wotrland...
