14 organizations helped through COVID charity funds

WORLAND — The Washakie County Commissioners announced Tuesday on how through Governor Mark Gordon’s Community Charitable Relief Program were distributed to local non-profit organizations.

The funds are to help the non-profit organizations that have been hurt financially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The funds were approved as follows: Ten Sleep Senior Center $5,400, Worland Senior Center $25,000, Crisis Prevention and Response Center $28,090, Washakie Museum & Cultural Center $21,500, Cloud Peak Counseling Center $7,573, Washakie County Ministerial Association $11,350, Sleep in Heavenly Peace $16,989, New Life Christian Center $28,090, Gottsche Rehabilitation & Therapy Clinic $900.30, Worland United Methodist Church $10,395, H Diamond W Youth Camp $3,625, United Methodist Circle J Center $6,607.50, Worland Friends of Library $7,500 and the Ten Sleep Friends of Library $8,500.

The only additional applications from last month were from the friends of the libraries, the total amount equates to approximately $181,520. Certain organizations funds were split between multiple counties if they operate in each of those counties.
