Peggy Jo Eads

March 11, 2021

Peggy Jo Eads left her earthly cares behind and joyfully leapt into the waiting arms of Jesus and her other loved ones on March 8, 2021. She was 82 years young.

Peggy, affectionately known as Gammy, was born February 16, 1939 to Lloyd Elmer and Sally Pearl (Cline) Johnson in Amarillo, Texas. She attended school in Amarillo and was a star student. She also loved and excelled in sports, especially softball.

Peggy met Ira Lee Eads in school and the two were married in May 1955. In November of 1956, they welcomed their first child, Terisa Renee. In June of 1958, Debra Colleen joined the family, and Tamara Lynn completed their family in June of 1960. They were later divorced.

Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her family was the pride and joy of her life. She supported, encouraged, loved, protected, taught, adored, and bragged on her family and loved each of them fiercely.

Gammy held many interesting jobs and excelled at all of them. She loved to cook and read recipe books. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the Lord with all her heart. She studied the scriptures and read them every night to her little dog, Norman.

In 2009 Gammy left warm, sunny Florida and moved to Worland, Wyoming. She lived the rest of her life with her daughter Terisa and son-in-law Jay. She was a true blessing to all who knew her. She always had a smile and hug ready to share with others. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Douglas Johnson; sister, Shirley Thompson and granddaughter, Mindy Brown. She leaves behind three daughters, Terisa (Jay) Brown of Worland, Debbie (Bill) Evans of DeLand, Florida and Tamy (Jerry) Brazell of Omaha, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; a "son of her heart," her nephew, Bob (Christie) Thompson of Norman, Oklahoma and her beloved lap-dog, Norman.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House and sent to PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
