Bruce Wayne Imfeld, 82, of Worland, WY, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 30, 1940 in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of the late John F Imfeld and Welhamina Anderson Imfeld. Mr. Imfeld attended Thomas Edison High School, an all-boys high school, in Philadelphia, PA and then served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Bruce continued his education completing his undergraduate studies at Colorado State University and his graduate degree at Colorado University. After graduating Mr. Imfeld relocated to Cheyenne, WY where he worked for the Department of Health and Social Services. In his spare time he volunteered as a youth director for his churches, enjoyed many outdoor activities and played on several softball teams. He also loved to act and had a variety of roles for different local theaters in Cheyenne, WY. While living in Cheyenne he worked a part time job as a Pinkerton Guard during Frontier Days.
He is survived by his two daughters and their spouses, Bonnie Imfeld Nead of Puyallup, WA and Valarie Imfeld Patton of Pensacola, FL; 4 grandchildren, Kristina Claar of Frankton, CO, William Imfeld of Warwick, RI, Lauren Brungardt of Lorain, OH, and Michelle Priest of Midwest City, OK. He is also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Felice Imfeld his mother, Welhamina "Mabel" Imfeld and his granddaughter Kalea Brungardt.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 14th at the Grace Lutheran Church, 701 S 15th St. in Worland, WY with Pastor Tim Trippel officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.
