Josephine Edela Davis, 86, passed away Friday February 3rd, 2023 after struggling with dementia and other complications. She was born November 21 of 1936, in Greybull, Wyoming to Edela and Charles Reidil.

Josephine graduated from Basin High School, Class of 1953. She then went to St Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colorado where she worked and earned her nursing certificated after 3 years. Soon after she met and married James Davis on December 21st, 1959 in Cody, WY. She then worked as a nurse in Cody, Basin, and Worland Wyoming. She and her husband James Davis then moved to Arizona in 1980. In the year 2000 they moved back to Wyoming to live out the rest of their lives.

Josephine was predeceased by her Mother, Edela and Father, Charles Reidil, her sister Charlotte Weinberger, and her son James Davis. Surviving in addition to her husband James Davis of Powell, WY, son Charles Earl Davis and wife Katia Davis of Powell, WY and son Glen Davis of Arizona. Grandchildren Amanda J Bruton, husband Mike Bruton of Molt, Montana, Angela N Kunda and husband Marcus Kunda of Las Vegas, Nevada, Colter Davis of Powell, WY, Lee Davis of Scottsdale, Arizona, Sonya Davis Robles and husband Severiano Robles of Mesa, Arizona, Will Davis of Arizona and Mike E. Molzahn of Lake Havaso, Arizona, Tosca Saltz and husband Kevin Peskuric of Washington DC, Giandor Iwunwa-Saltz and husband Michael Iwunwa of Georgia, and Venice Burton and husband Travis Burton of Evanston, WY. Great grandchildren Madalyn, Chloe, and Calvin Kunda, Beau and Rhettlie Bruton, Logan Robles and Chioma Iwunwa-Saltz.

A burial service will be held February 11th, 2023 at 3:00pm at the Basin Cemetery, Mountain View Cemetery, Basin WY.
