Dennis Wayne Michel

Dennis Wayne Michel, 54, passed away on February 14th, 2023, in Casper, Wyoming surrounded by friends and family after a brief battle with cancer.

Dennis was born on December 10th, 1968, in Worland, Wyoming. He was the oldest of two sons, and a daughter born to Don & Delene (Mattson) Michel.

Dennis graduated from Worland High School in 1987. He then moved to Casper to attend college where he later welcomed two sons, Jay and Devon.

From a young age, Dennis had a vast love for all animals. He raised many animals for 4-H and FFA. He also had a great fondness for golden retrievers. Over the years he had many dogs, and they were treated like his kids. Dennis enjoyed spending quality time with his sons at the motocross track, going on adventures in the remote areas of Wyoming, fishing, hunting, looking for rocks, and taking his “dog pack” for walks down by the river. Dennis was known for his “tell it like it is” disposition, and he would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone and everyone. He worked as a general contractor and he had an unprecedented talent for building anything and everything with not only beauty, but quality as well.

Dennis is survived by his parents Don and Del Michel of Worland; two sons, Jay (Ali) and Devon (Cassy) Michel of Casper; his brother Dave (Angela) Michel of Worland; sister Deanne Michel of Gillette; his 4 grandchildren, Audree, Alyson, Krew and Ryatt of Casper; and many nephews, lifelong friends and extended family members.

Cremation has taken place and Celebration of Life gatherings will take place in Worland on Saturday, March 25 from 11am-2pm at the Worland Community Center, 1200 Culbertson Av. and in Casper on Saturday, April 1 from 1-3pm at Tate Pumphouse 1775 W. First Street.
