Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years
Edward Jacob Haun was born in Worland, Wyoming on May 26, 1960, to Edward and LaVonne Haun. He passed away at home in Winnemucca and met his Savior on March 15, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
Ed was a standout wrestler in Worland and later a Rodeo Cowboy. He worked as a roustabout in the oil fields of central Wyoming and married a schoolmate. They had two boys, but later divorced. In 1985 he married Nancy Hladek, and together raised four children.
During their marriage of 38 years, Ed worked in northern Alaska oil production and continued commuting when they moved as a family to southeastern Washington State. When they relocated to Winnemucca, NV, he began a career at the gold mines in the area. Ed established himself on each and every job as a loyal dependable worker.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1990 and cherished that personal relationship throughout his life.
Ed is survived by this wife Nancy; sons Robert of Kennewick, WA, Cody (Sarah) of Spokane, WA; daughters Serah (Martin) Iroz and Hannah (Anthony) Valenzuela, all of Winnemucca; sons Joshua Haun and Justin Haun, all of California; nine grandchildren and siblings, Susan Haun Chavis, Lead, SD, Joyce (Marvin) Hammer, Lusk, WY, Janet (Landis) Benson, Worland, Diane (Jim) Welch, Denver, CO, Joann Haun Siebert, Worland, Tom (Connie) Haun, Worland, Bill (Juile) Haun, Worland, Jim (Tany) Haun, Worland; sister-in-law Lorna Keyfauver, Glenrock, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
