July 20, 2023

Theresa "Terry" Joann Pimentel, 62, passed away on July 16, 2023 with her family by her side at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming after a long battle with several forms of cancer. She fought with everything she had till her very last breath.

She was born on January 7, 1961 in Savannah, Georgia to Buford Landin Jr. and Theresa Elizabeth (Long) Lavinder. She was the youngest of 3 children. Terry grew up helping take care of her sibilings and found a love for helping people at a young age. She volunteered in several direct care fields, helping people in the senior center, the beehive home, and cooking for inmates at the Worland jail for 21 years. She had a special interest in helping people feel better about themselves, and found a love volunteering for the crisis preventation center. One of her proudest moments was when she became the president of the Crisis center board, and was able to help people on a large scale.

Theresa met her sole mate, Richard Steve Pimentel on Feb 14, 1986. They were married August 5, 1988.

Terry's whole world revolved around her family. She adored her grandchildren and loved to spend time with her children and husband. Steve and the kids tried to help her share their love of camping, but quickly realized glamping was more her style. You could always find Terry in the kitchen, cooking up something delicious. She was especially famous for her potato salad. She had a great sense of humor and had a smile that could light up the room.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Lisa Pimentel.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steve; children Paul (Christina) Pimentel of Gillette, Aaron (Tia) Phillips of Lovell, Jeremy (Holly) Phillips of Wellington, Colorado, Kelly Grove of Savannah Georgia and two daughters by choice: Lisa (Jauvonta) Collins of Casper, Wyoming and Belle Phillips of Worland; brother Dan Lavinder of Maine; sister Lauren Lavinder of Savannah, Georgia; grandchildren, Nicholas Schantle, Landon, Annalee, Nicole Westfall, Olivia Phillips and Anna Azaells; great-grandchildren Jade and Carmen.
