Funeral services for Donny Peterson, 62 year old Buffalo resident who died tragically in a 4 wheeler accident on Saturday, will be held Saturday, September 30th, 10:00 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Vernon Clark officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday at the Harness Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment and graveside services will immediately follow the funeral in Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo. Donald Andrew Peterson was born on December 27, 1960 in Afton, Wyoming to Donald and Judith Peterson. He moved with his family to Lovell, Wyoming where he attended K through first grade and then moved to Ten Sleep where he graduated from Ten Sleep High School with the class of 1979. After high school he attended Casper College. He worked in the Oil Fields for a short time before moving to Buffalo and working for Brubaker Sheep Co. Donny later worked at the Uranium Mine for eleven years. He was married on November 30, 1991 in Buffalo to Lisa Kraen and they made their home in Buffalo where they raised their family. Donny started a cattle ranching operation in the late 1980's. He continued working in the oil and gas industry along with his cattle business until his death.
Donny was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and spending time outside. His passions were his family, cattle and supporting his children's activities.
He is survived by his wife Lisa Peterson of Buffalo; one daughter Hanna Peterson and two sons, Hayden and Hunter Peterson all of Buffalo; his Mother Judith Peterson of Cody, Wyoming; two brothers Mike Peterson of Ten Sleep, Wyoming and Tom Peterson and his wife Corby of Worland, Wyoming; two sisters Julie Skaalure and her husband Steve of Billings, Montana and Beth Voss of Worland and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one niece.
