Eliseo "Blackie" Leyva 85 years old passed away on January 9, 2024.

Eliseo was born on January 3, 1939 to Clyde and Benita (Gonzalez) Leyva. He graduated from Worland High School in 1958. He married Anita Garcia in 1995.

He worked for the State of Colorado with the mentally handicapped, and retired after 17 years.

Eliseo was preceded in death by his parents, sister Toni, brothers Clyde Jr. and Daniel.

Survivors include his wife Anita, sons John (Ednah) Gillette, Edward Leyva, daughters Lorena (Bill) Wright, Nancy (Allen) Garcia, Karen Sierra, brothers Benjamin (Cathy) Leyva, Richard (Lucy) Leyva, Joshua and Steve Leyva, sisters Ruth (David) Haselhuhn, Louise Molina, seven grandkids and four great-grandkids.

Funeral services will be in Greeley, CO on January 19, 2024.
