Devin Michael Blythe

Devin Michael Blythe, 36, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Worland, Wyoming on January 23, 2024.

He was born in Rangely, Colorado to Michael Shaun and Brenda Marie (Ruppert) Blythe on September 12, 1987. Devin moved to Nevada at the tender age of 2. His life took a turn when tragedy struck, and his father passed away during his first-grade year. In the face of adversity, his family relocated to Belgrade, Montana, where his mother Brenda Ruppert remarried Matt Kashur. Matt lovingly raised Devin as his own, shaping the remarkable man he would become.

Devin graduated from Belgrade High School in 2006, embarking on a journey that would be marked by dedication to his family and a profound love for his daughter, Ashya Blythe, born in 2009. To provide for his daughter, Devin moved to Oklahoma to work as a driller for Excell. Despite the company’s closure, he displayed resilience by returning to Miles City, Montana, where he found employment with Coca-Cola.

In May of 2020, Devin’s life took a beautiful turn when he met the love of his life, Maritza. From the very first date, Devin knew their love is a love meant to last, introducing Maritza to his entire family that very same day. Despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship, their love blossomed. In 2021, they received the joyous news of expecting a baby boy, Logan. Devin relocated to Worland, Wyoming, eager to start a family with Maritza. Later in January of 2023 they welcomed their second little boy, River.

His dedication to family was unwavering. Devin’s children were his world, with Ashya holding a special place as his first love, followed closely by his two sons, Logan and River. He embraced Maritza’s family as his own, going above and beyond to ensure their happiness. Devin was a pillar of support, taking care of everything from cooking to cleaning, ensuring his family’s well-being.

Devin found joy in simple pleasures – from the sizzle of a barbecue to playing cornhole with friends. His infectious laughter echoed through the moments he shared with loved ones. Known for his repertoire of dad jokes, he never failed to bring a smile to those around him.

Devin Blythe leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering commitment to family. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Devin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Ruppert and father Michael.

He is survived by his fiancé, Maritza Deniz; his loving parents, Matt and Brenda Kashur of Manhattan, Montana; brother, Zackery (Ashley) Blythe of Billings and step brother Lane Kashur of Chicago, Illinois; his beautiful children: Ashya, Logan and River; his grandmother Carol Ruppert of Lignite ND; his great grandmother Donna Ruppert of Slayton MN, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
