    Worland will have its first Safe Community Day in a decades-long stretch this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Newell Sargent Park. Washakie County Emergency Management/Homeland Security Director Kami Neighbors said the idea for the event was brought up by Worland Police Chief Gabe Elliott during a Local Emergency Planning Committee meeting. “Back in the day it had been a hit, maybe 20-plus years ago, and we just thought it would be fun to bring it back.     Looking back over his time spent teaching and administrating in Washakie County School District No. 1, Randy Durr said, "It's gone fast, it's just incredible how quick that's gone."     The 2023 season was one of the best seasons in recent memory for the Worland High School track and field team, setting up a promising 2024 season. The Lady Warriors were runners-up to Powell at the 3A State meet in Casper on May 18-20.     CHEYENNE — Earthquakes were recorded two nights in a row almost exactly 24 hours apart along the Continental Divide in southeastern Wyoming this week. The first incident, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 2:14 a.m. Friday, had an epicenter near Antelope Hills, a rural subdivision between Saratoga and Encampment in Carbon County.
